1. What can I expect from a Bliss Yoga Retreats?
Blissed Yoga Retreats are designed to help you break away from the daily grind and renew your daily bliss. Every trip has a dedicated team – yoga instructor, professional retreat producer, and host (on-site concierge) – committed to making your retreat the best experience possible. That means that our retreats are a mix of great yoga, well-planned travel and great experiences. We pour love, care and attention to detail into each one of our retreats and aim to have the highest level of customer service possible.
2. How do I reserve my spot?
To reserve a spot at one our retreats, go to the retreat website and click “Book Now.”
3. Do you offer discounts?
Blissed Yoga Retreats offers and early bird discount is you book more than three months before the retreat start date. We encourage you to take advantage of our early bird rate.
4. How do I know if a retreat is right for me?

5. Is it ok to travel alone?
Traveling alone on a Blissed Yoga Retreat is a great way to experience our yoga retreats. About a third of our retreat participants travel alone. It is a great way to meet new people, relax and recharge while meeting like-minded people.
6. Do I need immunizations/vaccines and certain paperwork (visas) to travel?
It is the responsibility of each traveler to obtain all required travel documents including visas unless otherwise noted. Information regarding necessary documentation is provided as necessary on our website or you can contact us for more detailed information. It is your responsibility to purchase correct immunizations. Please contact your nearest travel clinic for the latest requirements.
7. How many people attend each retreat?
Blissed Yoga Retreats is a small group travel company. Our retreats are generally 15-30 people and all of our retreats are under >45 people. Our aim is to provide personalized experiences where everyone can interact and became part of the Blissed Yoga Retreats family. A benefit of retreating with Blissed Yoga Retreats is the friendships formed out of each retreat and we attribute this to our small and personalized groups.
8. Do I need yoga experience to go on a retreat?
Our retreats are open to all levels – no yoga experience needed! Our teachers are well-trained to work with all different yoga levels. Come as you are and we will meet you on your journey. A yoga retreat can be a great way to find your practice and meet others on their yoga journeys. Everyone has to start somewhere!
9. What’s included in the retreat fee?
Our retreats are designed to be a complete retreat experience. Our retreats generally include 2 freshly prepared meals per day, 1-2 excursions/retreat, daily yoga, and an on-site Host (guide) dedicated to creating a magical retreat.
10. What is the schedule like? Do we have a lot of free time? Do I have time to explore the town on my own?
Our retreats are a healthy mix of scheduled activities and free time. We generally have two yoga classes a day – one in the morning and one in the evening. There are planned activities during the day that you can take part in or simply create your own agenda and explore town or stay and relax at the retreat center. Please refer to the individual retreat webpages for a more detailed schedule of events for each specific retreat.
11. What is the cuisine like?
Cuisine on Blissed Yoga Retreats is vegetarian with an occasional meat or fish offering. We try to offer as many gluten-free and vegan offerings as part of our main cuisine offerings. Our mantra is to eat clean, fresh and local – while knowing what you are putting into your body. The chefs we work with know how to make clean and healthy food taste great. Specific cuisine information is provided on the individual retreat website. Upon signing up for a retreat, you will designate if you are vegan, vegetarian or a meat lover. 12. When do I receive the trip details?
Upon signing up for your retreat you will get a confirmation email confirming your spot on the retreat. We send out detailed paperwork no later than 3-months in advance of our retreats.
13. When should I book my flight?
Please do not book your flight until the trip has been officially green lighted by Blissed Yoga Retreats. You will receive an email confirmation with a green light to book your flight. We will green light a retreat no later than 3-months before the trip departs. If in the rare case a retreat is cancelled by Blissed Yoga Retreats, you will receive your deposit and any balances paid back in full.
14. Is transport to the retreat center included?
Transport generally not included in your retreat rate. Occasionally it is, please refer to the “What’s Included” section of the retreat website you are looking into or email Erika at [email protected].
15. What should I bring?
We will send you a detailed packing list in our pre-trip paperwork, but generally you should bring the following on every retreat: yoga mat, yoga clothes, walking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, flashlight or headlamp, water bottle and bug spray. We suggest packing light and leaving any valuables at home.
16. What is the currency? How much money do I need?
Please refer to the detailed trip paperwork for details on currency. We generally advise guests to travel with no more than $300 in cash. Many of our locations accept dollars, but you will get a better rate if you pay in the local currency. We suggest changing a small amount at the airport into local currency.
17. Do I need to tip? Are gratuities included?
Gratuities are not included on most trips. Please see the individual retreat pages and “what’s included” to see if gratuities are included. On average, gratuities for support staff (cleaning staff, chefs, drivers) are $10-$15 per night at your discretion and can be given directly to the hotel staff.
18. Should I purchase travel insurance?
Blissed Yoga Retreats requires each retreat attendee purchase individual travel insurance for their trip. We suggest that you include “cancel for any reason” with your policy and include medical coverage. Please refer to our Trip Insurance information page for more details.
19. Can I come a few days early and stay late?
Coming early or extending your stay is a great way to make your retreat experience last longer. Please note that you book the additional nights directly with the retreat center/hotel.
20. Is my retreat refundable? What is the cancellation policy?
If you wish to cancel your retreat you must notify Blissed Yoga Retreats in writing by contacting Erika at [email protected]. Once we have received your notice, cancellation will be subject to our terms of service.
21. Do you offer a payment plan?
The retreat is paid in two installments: 1) a $500 deposit to secure your spot 2) the remaining balance 3-months before the retreat. If you book within 3-months to the retreat start date, the total retreat balance is due at the time of booking.
